INVESTIGATION OF ATTITUDES AND BEHAVIORS OF NURSES TOWARDS CARING NURSE-PATIENT INTERACTION IN TURKEY

The interaction with patient is very important in nursing. In Watson's theory of human care, holistic approach and care-oriented come to the fore. This study was implemented order examine nurses' attitudes behaviors towards caring nurse-patient interaction. 183 out 300 nurses working inpatient units a general hospital where conducted participated voluntarily. Data collection 12-question questionnaire "Caring Nurse-Patient Interaction Scale"(CNPI-S) developed by Cossette et al. were used. As result; most are women, middle age group 48.6% them educated at least undergraduate level. According CNPI-S total scores, importance dimension X=292.83±34.04, efficiency X=282.93±51.19 practicality X=270.11±56.75 points.
